In a few minutes, there was a shaking bang on the upstairs floor, which seemed to vibrate steadily within Genzo’s ears. It became quiet•
“He’s licking her,” he thought in the silence, after the noise.
“Though that girl doesn’t like it, he's licking her mouth, her neck, her breasts. Then---. That hood! That demented devil!” In response to the thoughts moving wildly within his mind, he felt his body beginning to tremble.
"To such an innocent child! That Westernized degenerate, gangster, licking her and doing all those unclean things to her!
That sex maniac!” He clenched his fists with his righteous fervor, under the blankets. His wife, not knowing, was asleep, next to him.
He heard the upstairs light being turned off. The room downstairs, too, became dark. The darkness only lured his imagination more.
He felt the vibrations of another heavy bang. “He forced himself on her and fell asleep. He hasn't seen her for five days, that punk! Rapist! Tonight---" His entire body seemed to turn into a giant ear, as he held still, listening hard.
The darkness upstairs was silent.
